Puri, September 13: Registration for room reservation in Puri by Habishyalis for Kartika Brata has started today at Collector offices in all 30 districts of Odisha.
According to the information, three Whatsapp numbers have been made public to which Habishyalis can ask questions and get answers regarding the reservation of rooms. They will need to complete a form and submit it online or at the collector’s office in their respective district.
They can send e-mails to the Puri authorities via e-mail. [email protected] Also, they can send the form to Tourism Agent, Tourism Office, Subhas Bose Chhak, VIP Road, Puri.
They will need to send photo copies of the voter I-Card or Aadhaar card as proof of identity and address, a double dose Covid vaccine certificate along with the application form. Entries can be made both offline and online at any time no later than September 29.
This year, Kartika Brata will start on October 10. Authorities have made preparations to accommodate 3,000 Habishalis this year. The Brata has been restricted to Puri for two years due to Corona. A multi-storey building for the Habishyalies will be unveiled in Narendra Kona by the Chief Minister at the start of the Kartika Brata.
If necessary, the railway rest room will be transformed into a camp for Habishyalis.
In the month of Kartia, Purani discourses will be held. Lifeguards will be deployed at the Sacred Narendra Pond for the safety of Habishyalis while bathing. Special arrangements will be made for the Darshan of the deities of Shreemandir and the meal of Mahaprasad.
A preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Samath Verma at Puri circuit house yesterday.
