
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore will start the application process for its BTech course in Mathematics and Computer Science on June 1, 2022.
Admission to the newly launched undergraduate course will be based on advanced Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) scores.
The deadline to apply for the program is August 31, in accordance with official information.
The capacity of the first batch is 52. The student must have passed class 12 or the equivalent of a recognized board with physics, chemistry, mathematics, a language and any subject other than the four cis above in order to apply.
The four-semester program will include six courses each in the areas of mathematics and computer science, in addition to courses in the sciences, humanities and other engineering disciplines.
After the BTech degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, students can also opt for an MTech degree by taking an additional year and project credit, the institute informed.
“The new undergraduate program seeks to enter a niche with the aim of developing future leaders who will be at the forefront of research, development and innovation in the futuristic disciplines and next-generation technologies that require use depth of math, computing and data science,” the institute had said earlier.
