
NEET 2022 – Exam
NEET or National Eligibility cum Entry Test is the compulsory national level examination that students must pass for admission to MBBS, BDS courses in India. The examination is carried out by the NTA and the advice is provided by the Medical Advisory Committee. The NEET 2022 score is used for admission to all medical and dental schools in the country – government, private and reputable universities.
NEET is also compulsory for students who wish to go abroad to study MBBS or BDS. Students wishing to study medicine abroad must be grade NEET i.e. score a minimum of 50 percentiles in the NEET exam conducted by the NTA.

NEET Exam Date 2022
NEET usually takes place in the month of June. The exam is conducted in pen and paper mode. Due to COVID, the exam was postponed in 2020 and 2021. In 2021, NEET was organized on September 12, 2021. This year, however, with the normalization of the situation, it is expected that NEET 2022 will be organized again in June.
Official notification of the NEET exam date is awaited. In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, the NEET undergraduate exam should take place in the third or fourth week of June. Tentatively, the NEET 2022 exam is scheduled to take place on June 25, 2022. The date of the exam is expected to be announced by the end of March. Registrations should start from April 1st.
NEET registration – 2-step process
NEET registration is an online process. Students wishing to take the exam must register online on the official website
Step 1: Registration on the official website
For this, students will need to use a unique mobile phone number and email address. This is the identification stage and the email id and mobile number used for registration would be used for all communications, from information regarding the exam to the admissions process. .
Step 2: Complete the online application form
This is the second step in which applicants are required to share their personal and educational qualification details. This includes uploading the photograph and signature as well as paying the fee. The application process would not be complete without the payment of the fees.
NEET Eligibility 2022
Candidates who have completed their Class 12 exam or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible to sit for the exam. Regular schooling is compulsory. Those who completed them from an open school are not eligible to sit for the NEET exam.
There is an age limit below 17 for the exam. Students wishing to sit for NEET must be 17 by December 31 of the year the exam will be held. As for the upper limit, there is none. Aspirants may note that the National Medical Council,
NEET Program 2022
The NEET curriculum is the same as that prescribed by NCERT for students in grades 11 and 12 in physics, chemistry, and biology. This is also the same as the prescribed curriculum for classes 11 and 12 for CBSE.
NEET 2022 Application Form – How to Fill
Students would be required to complete the online application form at neet.nta.nic.in. Information regarding name, surname, grade, education details, grades obtained, address, etc. must be provided. Students also have to make decisions such as applying for the All India quota or just the state quota etc.
Application forms for NEET 2022 have not yet been released. They are expected to be made available from April 1, 2022. The short notification will be released soon by the NTA.
NEET 2022 Exam Pattern
There is no change in the exam pattern. The NTA would hold NEET 2022 in pen and paper form across the country in a single day. The exam would be 720 points – 180 questions in total. 45 questions each for physics, chemistry, botany and zoology would be asked. Each question carries 4 points and a negative point of 1 for an incorrect answer.
