
Discovery Center Spring Classes are just around the corner and registration is now open.
Children ages 2 and up are welcome to attend ten-week science classes which meet weekly from January through April at the center (701 NE Sanchez Avenue).
The courses available cover a range of scientific topics, including:
- Create Scientists (2-4 Years): A hands-on class filled with experiments, crafts, games, and animals.
- STEM Kids (5-7): Each child experiences and builds, with a new STEM challenge offered each week of the class.
- Junior robotics (7 to 9 years old): children learn the basics of programming, robotics and simple machines.
- Junior Zookeepers (7 to 9 years old): participants meet the many reptiles in the center.
- LEGO Robotics (10 years and over): participants learn to build and program with Lego EV3-Mindstorms.
- Strange Science (8 to 12 years old): Each child explores chemistry, magnetism, and strange scientific anomalies.
Registrations are now available and places are limited. Ten-week courses cost $ 140 for Discovery Center members and $ 160 for non-members.
