UPSC CSE 2022 Recruitment Notification: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has activated the CSE 2022 exam application link for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Forest Service (IFS) on upsc.gov.in. Aspirants who are preparing for the UPSC Civil Service Exam can apply online for UPSC IAS 2022 from February 02, 2022 on the UPSC Online website (upsconline.nic.in). The deadline for submission of UPSC CSE application is February 22, 2022 until 6 p.m.
A total of 861 vacancies are available for various departments and vacancies through the Civil Service Examination (CSE) for IAS 2022 and 151 for IFS 2022
The UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination for all applicants is to be held on June 05, 2022 (Sunday) Across the country. Applicants will receive UPSC CSE 2022 Admission Card three weeks before the start of the exam.
Those who pass the IAS Prelims exam will be called for the main exam and will need to re-apply online and submit the Detailed Application Form-I online [DAF-I] as well as scanned documents/certificates. Qualified candidates for the UPSC CSE Mains exam will present themselves for the interview round.

UPSC CSE 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification:
- IAS – Graduation in any field.
- IFS – Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be regarded as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956, or hold an equivalent qualification
UPSC CSE Age Limit:
- Gen – 21 to 32 years old
- SC/ST – 21 to 37 years old
- OBC – 21 to 35 years old
Nationality:
- For IAS, IFS, IPS – An applicant must be a citizen of India.
- For other services – An applicant must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 intending to settle permanently in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has emigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of settling permanently in India.

Each candidate will have 6 attempts to appear in CSE. However, there is a reservation for the following categories:

- History of India and the Indian National Movement.
- Indian and World Geography – Physical, social and economic geography of India and the world.
- Indian Politics and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. Economic and social development – Sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives, etc.
- General questions on environmental ecology, biodiversity and climate change – which do not require specialization.
- General science.
